Crick 2008 News Update

Lock opening times at Foxton and Watford.

To support the movement of boats to and from the Crick boat show the lock opening times are as follows:

- Wed 21st May to Fri 23rd May opening times 08.00 a.m. - 09.00 p.m. (last boats in 08.15p.m.) for boats travelling to the show only.

- Mon 26th May to Wed 28th May opening times 08.00 a.m. - 09.00 p.m. (last boats in 08.15p.m.) for boats travelling away from the show only.

New Marina

After a winter of long days, hard work and much shifting of clay the new marina extension is already starting to look as if it has been part of the landscape for years. It provides a great opportunity for us to bring even more exhibitor boats into the heart of the show. Please contact our exhibitions department on 0871 700 0685 if you would like your latest masterpiece to be displayed in its natural environment.

Exhibition space

The good news is that prices for exhibiting at the country’s premier inland waterways show have been frozen for 2008. If you are a regular exhibitor, thanks very much for all the feedback we received after last year – many of the suggestions have already been incorporated into our plans. Even though sales have been brisk, we have still space available to suit all budgets and specifications. Free Boat Trips

We are delighted to announce that you, your family and friends will be able, once again, to enjoy a free boat trip on one of the most picturesque parts of The Grand Union Canal. Our friends at Canal Boat magazine are responsible for this particular highlight of the show and their generous sponsorship is much appreciated. To book your place, simply visit their stand at the show, pick up your ticket and away you go.

Traffic management

One of the slight pitfalls of being such a successful show, combined with a very not very helpful weather forecast in 2007 is traffic delays leading to the site. We have spent the winter working on changes to our traffic plan so your arrival and departure should be a lot smoother.
